We trundled through the woods with the dogs having fun up ahead, zig zagging across the paths, following the scent of squirrels and chasing the birds. Archie loves to play with a tennis ball, a trait he has definitely inherited from his Mum. They all took it in turns to carry around the tennis ball that by the end of the walk it had totally fallen apart! Daisy in her role as chief baby sitter was keen to make sure Archie was on his best behaviour while Ruby was too busy hogging the ball carrying duties.
A great time was had by all, the dogs were suitably covered in mud so it was baths all round. Ruby and Daisy both muttered doggy obscenities as I showered them off for about the 20th time that week. As they settled for their afternoon sleep they occasionally threw me dirty looks as thanks for ridding them of their dirty legs!
It’s nice to feel appreciated.
