Dottie is one today. I cannot believe how fast that year has gone. Dottie is such a large part of our family and such a fun loving girl. We love her very much and she has proved a real head turner. Over the last year she has managed to take a number of firsts in local dog shows and even took best in show at dogs live 2014. She has excelled at beginners agility and we are looking forward to taking the next step now she is old enough begin training with all the equipment. Dottie has been kept in long coat for the past year and is now looks like a scruffy teddy bear. Although she looks great it is very hard to keep, especially as we often walk through the farmers fields and off the beaten track! It is a magnet for sticks and grass seeds. This weekend I have decided to have her cut shorter... watch this space for her new look! Happy Birthday Dot, we love you more and more every day xxx

I must take the time to apologise to anyone who has taken the time to contact me in the last few weeks about litter availability. All available pups are now booked and I have not had the chance to reply to you all personally. On the back of our availability announcement I received well over 100 emails for four puppies. I must apologise to those who were waiting so patiently for availability announcements and are disappointed at not having the chance to visit the puppies. I have been waiting on schedules visits before being able to confirm all puppies are now booked hence the delay in this post.
Where has the last six weeks gone?! The puppies are growing and developing so quickly. They spend the majority of their day out playing. They love being in the garden and exploring. They are fully weaned but Daisy is still happy to feed them. I can't believe in less than two weeks they will be leaving me. We are visiting the vet next week for vaccinations and microchipping so I will let you know how they get on. They are all such a laid back bunch I am thrilled with how they are developing.
Pups are now four weeks old and on the go! They can now hold their own with Daisy's puppies are love being out playing with them. Weaning has started and they have taken to it really well! It is great to watch them grow and develop. Ruby continues to be a great Mum and is still being attentive although spending more time away from the now and catching up on some well earned rest. Today they have been outside in the sunshine and generally causing havoc around the house, its all great fun and helping to develop their little characters which are all starting to emerge.
Ruby's puppies are three weeks old and growing in front of our eyes! They have really developed over the past week and are now racing around the puppy pen. They have started to interact with one another and have noticed that Ruby is more than the milk bar! They have just started wagging their tails and are barking and growling at one another to initiate play. During the coming week we are continuing with our socialisation programme, ensuring we introduce as many normal household sounds and activities not to mention meeting with Aunty Dottie and all the other pups!
They are on the move. The pups are out and about, exploring and into everything. They are all such fun and are all exhibiting really confident, friendly and playful personalities. They adore their freedom around the house and love the garden, even though it has been very wet the last few days! They are all very forth coming and none stand out as being reserved! They all took to weaning like ducks to water and are now on three meals a day and growing rapidly! I am so pleased with how they are coming on, they will experiencing their first bath this week.
Dottie continues to fill the role of chief babysitter and a few of the cheeky pups have even tried to get a quick snack from Ruby, much to her disgust. Daisy is enjoying some quiet time away from them in the day and has just started to sleep away from them at night, she of course has access to them whenever she wants but is beginning to get them ready for the world away from her. So here they are, I decided to hold them up this week as they are so quick my camera cannot keep up! First off, I must apologise if I seem to have kept you all waiting but I wanted to ensure that all was well with the puppies and that the people already confirmed on my lists were still in the position to make their selection from these litters. As it stands we have one puppy available in Daisy’s litter and three from Ruby’s litter due to larger than expected litters . I cannot be more specific about colours or gender as I do not allow puppy selection until they are coming up to 6 weeks old. This is because colour and gender is such a small part of choosing your puppy. In my opinion it is better to match the puppies personality with what you are looking for, as it is ultimately the personality you are going to have to live with and work with when training etc. At six weeks old you can observe them playing, interacting with one another and with you thus making this process easier. Of course everyone has preferences and we do our best to make sure everyone is happy with their choice. If you are interested in coming to meet us pending selection please get in contact via email and we can arrange for you to visit. Please note I cannot guarantee colours or gender until it comes round to your turn to select so please bare this in mind if you have rigid preferences. Puppy selection for Daisy’s puppies will be W/C 26th August with them ready to leave for their new homes from 13th September and Ruby’s puppy selection will be W/C 8th September with them ready to leave for their new homes from 27th September. We can arrange initial visits for any time before selection dates. I look forward to hearing from you. James and the gang Daisy's puppies are four weeks old. Time has flown and they are growing so fast. They are now on the move and keeping me on my toes. I will begin to wean them this week and will start them off straight onto raw minced chicken. Daisy has been spending more time away from the puppies, giving her time to relax and catch up on some well earned rest. Dottie has taken over as chief babysitter and Daisy is more than happy to watch over her playing with the puppies. Dottie is so good and so gentle with them, laying down and letting them bury themselves into her fur. Today they have been out of the pen and tottering around, exploring and taking in the new sights, smells and noises of a busy house. As the week goes on I will try and get some action shots of them playing with Dot and out exploring.
Ruby's puppies are now two weeks old. They have really grown this week, their eyes are now open and they are starting to wobble about on their legs. Ruby continues to be the best Mum, she is never out of ear shot and is constantly fussing over her babies. The puppies coats and colour continue to develop and we look forward to seeing how they change over time.
With the busyness of the last few weeks out of the way, I have finally got round to uploading the weekly updates for both our current litters. I will continue to provide updates on a weekly basis with some updated pictures of course!
I will also be announcing availability over the coming week :) James |
