The last few weeks have flown by in a blur! It has been a busy lead up to Christmas and we are all looking forward to some down time before our 2014 puppies arrive. Since Ruby's summer litters left us in October we have been non stop!
The girls have been doing great. Ruby and Daisy are in full coat so have been enduring weekly grooming sessions. I say enduring… Ruby tolerates it but Daisy is so chilled out and will often lay down and fall asleep while being brushed through. With the wet weather, they have been wearing their equafleece coats when out and about to keep the mud at bay! They really cut down washing and drying time after a wet and muddy walk. They have also proved their waterproof qualities after several dips in the pond!! Ruby can sense water for miles and often goes tearing off only to return dripping wet and covered in green slime!!!
Dottie is growing up so fast, we have completed our puppy training classes and she was brilliant. She is very clever so I am going to carry on with obedience classes. Training classes are a great tool for socialisation but I have also enjoyed the one on one time with her away from the other dogs. It has allowed Dottie to focus on me and she has picked up all commands really easily. The coat is still holding her red sable colouring for the moment and we are looking forward to seeing how it will change as she get bigger.
We have had a fantastic year with two wonderful litters, all of which are now living as cherished members of their new families and I couldn’t be happier. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our new puppy parents this year as they have all been amazing. I love keeping in touch and am so thrilled every time I receive updates and pictures. I am very proud of how our puppies are growing into wonderful well rounded dogs. As ever, if you ever need anything please do not hesitate to give me a call.
I would like to wish all of our website visitors and blog followers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and stay tuned for news of our 2014 litter plans which will be announced in January.
Best Wishes
