Crufts.

Last Thursday I had a fantastic day out at Crufts in Birmingham. There was so much to see and do, far too much for just one day! I saw some wonderful dogs and watched some great displays. I had a good look around the stalls and spent a fortune on food, grooming equipment and supplies for my up coming summer litters!

My groomer recently introduced me to a fantastic grooming spray called Demelex. Demelex is an intense professional de-mating spray and can be used on wet or dry coats leaving no residue. Knots and matts just seem to slide out when using it with a Les Pooches brush, it really is amazing. It is not cheap at £22 for 400ml but it can be diluted if being used as an all over spray or leave in conditioner. It also smells lovely and leaves the coat feeling very soft. Click here to find out more.

Natural Instinct once again had a great offer on their food boxes. 12 x 1kg tubs of their complete raw food in mixed flavours for £25 with free delivery is a great deal so I stocked up with more than my freezer can cope with! They also had a great selection of bones so I picked up some lamb spines, chicken wing tips and a selection of natural treats which include freeze dried lamb lung and liver treats. These treats can be broken into tiny pieces and are great to use as training treats. I have also been using them to fill Kong's and the dogs absolutely love it!

The girls are in fine spirits and look great after having their haircut. I will uploads some more pictures soon! They are really enjoying spending more time outside and  love the longer evening walks now that the nights are drawing out.  :-)

I've just seen your website and read about Demelex de-matting spray. Another spray I have read about that some breeders recommend is called Tropiclean de tangler spray. Do you know which one works best for de-matting our 8 month old cockapoo? thank you for your time
Best wishes

Hi Lynne

I think the main difference between Demel'ex and Tropiclean is that Demel'ex is a grooming spray that is sprayed directly onto a wet/dry coat and can also be diluted and used as a leave in conditioner. Whereas Tropiclean D-Mat is like a conditioner and is used when bathing and has to be rinsed from the coat. Both are great products so I suppose it comes down to which method you prefer. Let me know what you decide. Kind regards, James :)
